Start with the three fields that move price most
Layers, board size, and quantity drive most of the first-pass estimate. Enter them honestly—optimistic numbers create re-quotes later.
Upload clean manufacturing files
Prefer RS-274X Gerber or ODB++ in a single ZIP. Keep one revision per archive and name layers consistently.
Call out special processes early
Impedance, gold fingers, via-in-pad, and HDI change both price and lead time. Flag them in notes before you lock a build date.
