Which PCB assembly tests are available?

You select tests on the RFQ form, and your quotation lists the tests that apply and their cost. - AOI. Checks polarity, missing parts and visible solder defects. - X-ray. Checks hidden solder joints under BGAs and QFNs. - Flying probe. Checks for shorts and opens without a fixture. - ICT. Checks shorts, opens and component values through a test fixture. The fixture adds cost and lead time. - FCT (functional test). Powers up the board and runs your test procedure. We need your test plan and pass/fail criteria. If you are not sure what to choose, AOI is the first test to add on most surface-mount builds, and X-ray is worth adding when the board has BGAs.
